ONE OF THE LARGEST CAR BOOT SALES IN THE SOUTH IS HELD EVERY SUNDAY AT THREE LEGGED CROSS ONLY 3 MILES AWAY. MARKETS ARE HELD IN DORCHESTER ON WEDNESDAYS AND WAREHAM ON THURSDAYS. SAINSBURY'S IS LESS THAN A MILE AWAY IN FERNDOWN.

THE DOLPHIN SWIMMING POOL HAS ONE LARGE AND ONE SMALL POOL AND ALSO HAS A GYMNASIUM. POOLE PARK WHICH HAS A LARGE BOATING LAKE AND MINIATURE TRAIN AND MANY PICNIC AREAS IS CLOSE BY.
