Bath Spring Flower Show 2010
The Annual Spring Flower Show, now in its 24th year, is held over the May Bank
Holiday weekend (1-3 May) in the beautiful surroundings of the Royal Victoria
Park. The Show was commissioned to celebrate the centenary of the Botanical
Gardens (in 1987), a stone's throw away from the showground, and well worth a
visit for its beauty and peace. The Show’s appeal is not just to the gardener.
There is a wide array of displays and activities going on throughout including a
beautiful Floral Art Marquee display by members of the area’s Floral Art Clubs,
the Horticultural Sundries Marquee and much more. British Food and Farming have
a marquee where you have an opportunity to buy first class British farm produce.
There will be cookery demonstrations, local Women’s Institutes and Townswomen’s
Guilds have their own marquee with competition entries and delicious home baked
cakes and preserves. Children can spend a very enjoyable and productive time in
the Children’s Activity Marquee run by Bath Area Play Project and for the under
5’s there is a crèche. Food and drink is available throughout the day. Bands and
dancers provide entertainment. Weather presents no problem as practically all of
the Show is held under cover with parking being available close to the
showground.

Throughout the weekend of the 15th and 16th May the hangars and display
buildings of the World famous Museum will be brimming with over 50 flight
simulators of various shapes and sizes demonstrating the controls and
manoeuvrability of a myriad aircraft including helicopters, fighter jets and
