- Simonsbath is known as the walkers "Moorland
Capital". It is a walkers paradise with wild moorland on all
sides and fold after fold of heather clad hills.
-
- There are a handful
of cottages, a pottery a National Park Information Centre by
the old school. Riverside walks lead to the steep hill of
Flexbarrow; to the disused Wheal Eliza iron mine, and to Cow Castle,
the finest Iron Age hill fort on Exmoor.
