- Coverack is a picturesque seaside
village with stone and thatch cottages where anglers can fish for
bass and pollock, sheltered from the south-westerly gales by the
Lizard.
-
- Coverack was formerly known for its smuggling activities, a
few of the cottages have been found to have secret hiding places
under their floors. There has been a community here since the
medieval times. Pilchard fishing was the main occupation until early
this century.
