Milton Abbas  Dorset

 
Milton Abbas is a place of exceptional interest. A lawyer instrumental in arranging King Henry VIII's divorce from his first wife Catherine of Aragon was given land here and a gothic mansion and abbey now stand side by side on this land in woods and fields. Thatched cottages line the street of this 18th century village.
 
The countryside around is quite unspoilt and peaceful.
