 - Axmouth is an unspoilt
little village of cottages and farmhouses on the beautiful estuary
of the river Axe. to the east of the village before you reach Lyme-Regis
in Dorset is the famous Dowlands Landslip, a section of cliff which
collapsed on Christmas day, 1839 leaving a gash 6 miles long. Close
by is the seaside resort of Seaton

and Sidmouth. Boats can be hired from the beach at Sidmouth and
Beer. The best time for fishing at Seaton is between Sept and Nov
for bass. Sidmouth Bay is best in spring and summer. Trout fishing
on stretches of the Rivers Exe, Otter and Sid. Coarse fing on the
Exeter Canal.
