- Exmouth another of the seaside towns that came to the fore in the 17th and 18th centuries when
those who had the means were able to reside in such pleasant surroundings. To be fair Exmouth
has a longer history than this as there is also evidence of roman occupation. Access is easy as
Exmouth is only 8miles south of Exeter, just of the M5.It also has a rail link from Exeter. There
are many places to visit from Exmouth most suitable for the family.

Seaton and Sidmouth. Boats can be hired from the beach at Sidmouth
and Beer. The best time for fishing at Seaton is between Sept and
Nov for bass. Sidmouth Bay is best in spring and summer. Trout
fishing on stretches of the Rivers Exe, Otter and Sid. Coarse fing
on the Exeter Canal.
