Wimborne Musical Theatre will be performing The King and I at the Tivoli
Theatre from 16th – 20th June 2015. Rodgers and Hammerstein’s 1956 musical is
set in 19th-century Thailand and depicts an Englishwoman being hired to serve as
a tutor to the King’s children. Both stuck in their separate cultural ways, the
two eventually learn to understand, respect and love each other. The King and
I’s score contains the most enduring numbers; "Getting to Know You," "Something

royally appealing tunes. To get your tickets please call Sylvia on 01202 659425
