THE GRAND DAY OUT Celebrate the start of Summer! On Sunday 29th June
2014, ‘The Grand Day Out’ Family Fun Day will return to the Royal Cornwall
Showground for its fourth year, with a special guest appearance from children's
favourite Mike the Knight. The day will offer a variety of events and
attractions including children's TV character 'Mike the Knight' making personal
appearances at intervals throughout the day, Cornwall Sports Partnership 'Sports
Active Zone', craft & produce fayre, car boot, fun fair, dog and car shows,
refreshments, licenced bar and live music. Something for all the family to
enjoy, supporting Cornwall Hospice Care, providing specialist adult care to the

Just off the A389 towards Padstow
The Padstow Vintage Rally has been successfully running for many years,
each year growing bigger and bigger with more and more taking place.
2014 we be no exception with an amazing line up of exhibitors and entertainment,
including an aerobatic air display, falconry show, music festival and children's
entertainers.
The rally takes place on the outskirts of Padstow and features live
entertainment on both Friday & Saturday night in the beer tent with
entertainment around the site on all 3 days. There is also the Entertainment
provided in our main ring which is surrounded by a selection of food and trade
stands.
The Padstow Vintage Rally & Country Fair strives on being one step ahead and you
will find not only a number of traditional exhibits from tractors, cars,
stationary engines, steam engines and bikes, but a country side corner including
a selection of rare breeds, horses, and a pet’s corner, plus re-enactments and
displays from all aspects of the bygone years.
You will be able to choose from a number of Food & Drink Stalls to suit your
requirements located around the field serving Day & Night. There is also an
onsite restaurant serving breakfast, lunch & Full evening meals next to the beer
tent which offers a great selection of drinks for all tastes and includes our
own beer festival offering local real ales from across the region.
If you would be interested in joining us for all three days the camping field
adjoins the main field and has water, toilets and an Elson point for your use.
Camping will cost the minimal amount of £10.00 per tent/caravan per night, and
what’s more you will also benefit from a reduced entrance fee for the event. I
hope you will be able to join us and continue making Padstow Vintage Rally and
Country Fair one of the most successful Rallies in Cornwall.

The Boconnoc Steam Fair is one of the leading events of its kind in the
South West. With its picturesque setting and many exhibits, it is hard to beat
the relaxed atmosphere and people travel from far and wide to attend this
special event. Over the weekend there will be something for all the family,
whether visitors are interested in the magnificent steam engines, the fair
ground rides, the vintage cars and other steam driven machinery or the history
of Boconnoc House. The main house will be open to the public. There will be
plenty of delicious refreshments and the beer tent will be open until late.
Donations received from trailer rides will go to the Cornwall Air Ambulance and
donations are also made to the Liskeard Police Cadets who help throughout the
event.

Procession from St James Church to Lamb Park Pavilion at 2pm, fete opened at
2.30pm. Fun fair, sheep racing, bouncy castle, craft and homemade produce
stalls, children's entertainment, vintage vehicles, local society stalls,
plants, BBQ, curry, cream teas and bar. Live music with Strangebrood from 8pm.

CORNWALL AIR AMBULANCE IT'S A CORNISH KNOCKOUT
Sunday 17th August 2014. Pencarrow, Nr Bodmin
It's a knockout is a classic comedy game involving giant obstacles, water
and lots of laughs and will run alongside the annual Cornwall Air Ambulance
Trust Family Fun Day.
Each team requires 8-10 people aged 18 and above. Team entry costs £500 and
many people choose to raise the funds through sponsorship or other
fundraising activities.
Fancy dress is encouraged and every participant will be offered a free pint,
kindly donated by Sharp's Brewery.
