Les Miserables: The Memoirs of Jean Valjean
Brixham theatre company, The South Devon Players
theatre company announce open auditions for
their most ambitious show to date. Les
Miserables; The Memoirs of Jean Valjean is a new
non-musical theatre show, based directly on
Victor Hugo’s thrilling novel of redemption,
love and revolution, set in 19th Century France.
The South Devon Players are performing this show
in September 2013 around Torbay, and have
announced open auditions for the
production. Whether you are ten or eighty, there
are large and small roles available and the
auditions are open to both members and new
people as well. People new to acting and
performing are welcome.
All we ask is that if you are aged under 16
(there are three child roles), that you are
accompanied by a parent or guardian, and that
all performers are reliable; able to rehearse on
Wednesday evenings, and available for the shows,
between 4th – 8th September. The auditions will
take the form of script readings on Wednesday
May 15th 2013, at 7pm, at Chestnut Heights
Community Centre, Poplar Close, Brixham TQ5 0SA.
07855 090589
Rehearsals commencing the following Wednesday
(same time and venue). As well as performers, we
are also looking for front of house helpers, and
set/ stage hands too, so if you do not feel like
performing, there are plenty of other ways to
get involved in the show.
Please note that Act 2 of the show is likely to
contain strobe or light flashes.
